Free Range Christmas Turkey

We are now taking Christmas orders for our free range turkeys, geese, chickens and guinea fowl. Farm fresh, succulent and moist...order early to avoid disappointment.

Derimon Smokery

We now stock a range of produce from Anglesey based Derimon Smokery in both of our farm shops. Fish, including salmon, mackerel and cod, and locally caught eel and seabass, as well as local cheeses are available, all of which have been smoked on their premises.
This family business is based on several years of smoking for their family and friends, using their own 400 year old oak tree shavings and sawdust.
This has now developed into a state of the art smokery, retaining the traditional recipes, some unique to them, for maximum flavour.

Welsh Black Beef

All of our beef is traditionally reared Welsh Black...Wales' only native beef breed. It is a breed that browses as well as grazes, getting a mixed food intake in the process, perhaps a factor that contributes to its reputation for flavour. Taste the difference!

The Gift of Food

Stuck for a gift idea..? Why not buy them a Hooton's Homegrown Gift Voucher? Available in any denomination, they can be spent in either farm shop and in our cafe at Brynsiencyn. The perfect present for any good food lover!

Chicken as it used to taste

Our Chickens, Ducks and Guinea Fowl are all slow-growing breeds fed on a completely natural grain based diet, supplemented by grass and insects when they roam the great outdoors everyday.
Our Chickens have a full flavour, a fine texture and are succulent and moist.
We dry pluck all our poultry on the farm, therefore having complete control from day old chicks to sale.

Daily Telegraph's Top 50 Farm Shops in Britain

Hootons Homegrown farmshop is in the Daily Telegraphs top 50 Farmshops in Britain.
“Each time I walk into a farm shop it is with a feeling of gratitude that this concept is becoming more and more successful. Packed imaginatively with honest food…beef, pork and lamb from home-reared animals and vegetables that have just been pulled from the ground.
Amid a recession these shops have even more relevance…prices compete well with like-for-like in supermarkets…I would go further than that and say they are frequently cheaper.
May the farm shop culture grow and grow, and hats off to the creativity, acumen and courage of the British farmers who bought them to us.”
